Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
hourloom is made by bmvp.ai Ltd, registered in England & Wales (Company No. 17126191), registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO reference C1898705). Contact: support@bmvp.ai.
2. Data that stays on your device
The following is stored only in the app's local storage on your phone. It is never transmitted to bmvp.ai, and we cannot see it:
- Your tasks, schedules, and saved planners
- Energy ratings, learned peak/slump hours, and chronotype results
- Failure-analysis history and estimate corrections
- Your pay, hourly rate, currency, and time-ledger figures
- Check-in dates, streaks, levels, and XP
- Appointments, hobbies, reminders, and alarm settings
Deleting the app, or clearing its data in Android settings, permanently deletes all of it. There is no copy to request from us — we never had one.
3. Data we do collect

Legal basis for both: legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the app (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
4. Optional features that contact third parties
Your own AI (Ollama or an API you configure)
Plan generation sends your planning brief (wake time, goals, technique preferences, learned pattern summaries) to the AI endpoint you configure — a self-hosted Ollama server on your own network, or a third-party API using your own key (OpenAI-compatible, Anthropic, Google, or xAI endpoints). That provider's privacy terms apply to what you send. With self-hosted Ollama, plan generation never leaves your own hardware.
Team focus (SUPER/TEAM tiers)
If you join a team, your display name and focus status ("focused until 3 PM") are stored in our EU-hosted database (Supabase) and visible only to members of your team, enforced by row-level security. No schedules, tasks, or personal patterns are uploaded. Leaving a team or contacting support removes your rows.
Weather & trip suggestions
Fetching a forecast sends the location you enter to OpenWeatherMap; trip suggestions query the OpenStreetMap Overpass API. Neither receives your identity or schedule.
Peer-to-peer sharing and exports
Streak shares, calendar (.ics) exports, and backups are files created on your device and sent through the app you choose. They travel directly over that channel and never pass through bmvp.ai.
Purchases
Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We receive no card details.
5. What we never do
- No advertising, ad networks, or ad identifiers
- No selling or sharing of personal data with data brokers
- No account requirement, and no server-side profile of you
- No reading of your task contents, pay, or patterns by us or our analytics
6. Children
hourloom is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed at children.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Because your personal data lives on your device, most of these you exercise directly: the app's export features provide portability, and clearing the app's data provides erasure. For the limited data we hold (team rows, crash/usage records), email support@bmvp.ai and we will act within one month. You may also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
8. Data retention & security
Usage and crash data are retained by the respective services for their standard rolling windows and then deleted. Team focus rows persist until you leave the team or ask us to remove them. All transmissions use TLS encryption in transit.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy materially, we will update the date above and note the change in the app's release notes before it takes effect.
